About Alessandro
Born in Reggio Calabria, pianist Alessandro Praticò is in demand internationally as an accompanist and repetiteur. His extensive experience in theatres includes the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Opéra National de Paris, Theater Bremen and the Karlsruhe Theatre. In 2022, he won the Solo-Repetiteur competition at the Bayerische Staatsoper, Munich, where he has since been engaged as vocal coach.
Praticò has worked with several prominent conductors, including Gianluca Capuano, Maurizio Benini, Vladimir Jurowski, Donato Renzetti, Francesco Ivan Ciampa, Massimo Zanetti, Andrea Battistoni, Daniele Rustioni, Stefano Montanari, Antonino Fogliani, and Giacomo Sagripanti. In recitals, he regularly collaborates with internationally renowned singers, such as soprano Lisette Oropesa. He is also frequently invited to give masterclasses on vocal and instrumental technique and interpretation.
Having graduated 'cum laude' in piano at the “F. Cilea” Conservatory under M° Rosa Inarta, he furthered his studies at the Atelier Lyrique at Opéra National de Paris, specializing in operatic, chamber and solo repertoire under M° Jean-Marc Bouget.
